Rags to Riches Against The Odds
In Limbo” begins with the story of Alfredo Quiñones-Hinojosa. His life is like a classic rags-to-riches tale scripted for a Hollywood film. He grew up in the small village of Palaco, Mexico. As a bright young man, he wanted to become a teacher. But he had to overcome many obstacles first, including hunger.
“I am not talking about hungry for success; I was literally hungry for food. My stomach was empty,” he says.

Of the self made billionaires around the world, how many of them had to overcome extreme hardship to reach their goals? How many were even homeless with just a dream and a vision?
The more such stories we find of self made millionaires, the more we can feed our own imagination of what we want to achieve. Always remembering that everything is possible, who knows, maybe one day our own children or grandchildren could be telling our stories of how we went from rags to riches too.
For some people reading this, they may be able to watch the Rags to Riches TV show. You would no doubt find a lot of inspiring stories there. Also check out our section above on rags to riches stories.
I remember many years ago watching a television program and seeing all the wonderful properties that the wealthy lived in. One which made a great impression on my mind was the beautiful home by the river which was owned by the man who invented the Ballpoint Bic. To think that such a small cheap item could generate such wealth for the owner. The lesson was that, there was a market for his product and this market was massive.
We all have something which could turn our financial lives into living the dream life we want for ourselves. It is finding it, setting up a plan and then taking massive action. If others could do it, almost against the odds, then why not ourselves. But, we have to want it. We have to want it enough to become one of the rags to riches stories to be passed down through the generations of our own families.
