Financial need
The financial need and protection of the vulnerble in society is the duty of every local authority and fortunately the High Court have stepped in, in a landmark case to ensure that their financial responsibilities towards two disabled men are not neglected. This is another attempt by the coruts to stop the UK Government’ from cutting back on local authority spending without due full consideration of how it will impact vulnerable individuals.
How many disasterous cases have we read about entirely because people are left to roam the streets, yet are in need of medical and community case? This is going to be an ongoing situation for all those vunerable people and the financial need of each case.
