Self help for the elderly is a matter being discussed worldwide and also something we will all one day be looking at, if we are not in a better financial position than a lot of the elderly are during this recession. Items, such as clothing and food are required to ensure that the elderly do not suffer in the coming months of colder weather.
I have been in local supermarket to find trolleys filled with dried food goods to be dispatched to those in need. Every time a person shops, hopefully they are in a position to purchase something to put into the trolleys.

The days of throwing away clothing without consideration of the fact that they could be utilized to help those who are desperately trying to help themselves, are gone. We are now living in a society where the majority are caring for others or at least taking responsibility of ourselves, through self help methods.
